It all started
with a cherry
A few kilometres from Zadar and the Adriatic, embraced by the Mediterranean and two hundred sunny days a year, the Kardum family planted their first orchard. Today it spans more than forty hectares, twenty-six thousand trees and twenty premium varieties – one of the largest cherry orchards in Europe.
The cherry was the beginning, not the end. Everything that can be made from it is made here: premium cherry vinegar and balsamic aged for years, candied and dried cherries, juices, jams, liqueur, cherry-stem tea, creams and pillows filled with cherry stones. The wines of the Kardum winery come from the same soil.
Over time a small world has grown around the orchard. Six kilometres of trails, an aromatic garden with thirty thousand medicinal plants, a tasting room, beehives, horses…
What began as a plantation is today a complete ecosystem that welcomes visitors from many countries and offers them the best that Croatian soil can give – in one place, from tree to table.
